Why Noema?
“Noema” is a Greek word meaning “the objective aspect of or the content within an intentional experience.”
Caleb started Noema after over a decade of working in the wealth management industry. As an investment strategist, making intentional decisions about how to allocate investment dollars is vitally important. Of course, intentionality is important for many aspects of life, not just investment strategy. For business owners, one of the most important decisions they will make comes when it is time to make succession plans, and if there is not thoughtful intent behind these plans, the future of the business may be uncertain.
Noema provides business owners with a flexible alternative to the traditional private equity or strategic acquirers. As a search fund focused on making a single acquisition, Noema will work with the seller to make the transition as smooth as possible and will remain focused on successfully operating the business post-close.
If you or someone you know is considering an exit, or just beginning to think about succession planning, let’s have a conversation.
Meet Caleb
Caleb has always had an entrepreneurial mindset, going back to his high school weekends spent mowing lawns. He began his career as a financial advisor, driven by an interest in working with and helping people, while also enjoying economics. After successfully managing his client base at Charles Schwab, Caleb pivoted his career to focus on investment strategy, spending time at Merrill Lynch and eventually leading the investment department at a large investment advisory firm. After leading an investment department and gaining M&A experience, Caleb is now excited to realize his entrepreneurial aspirations with Noema Capital.
Caleb holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and an MBA from Duke University. Outside of work, he serves as the Chairman of the Board for Curing Kids Cancer and volunteers for the Auditory Verbal Center in Atlanta.
